Qiao Shuo, personally bestowed the Dharma name “Lien Hua Tung Tzu” by Guanyin Bodhisattva, is the first-generation Dharma lineage successor of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. He follows the teachings of the founding master, Namo Greatly Compassionate Pu Guang Gong De Shan Buddha, Venerable Jun Hong Lu, Justice of the Peace.
After the founding master entered nirvana in 2021, Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master inherited his unfinished great vows, continued the wisdom-life of the Buddha, and shouldered the important responsibility of propagating the Right Dharma and continuing the Dharma lineage.
The continuation of a Dharma Door depends upon someone who inherits its teachings and practises its vows. The meaning of lineage transmission lies in safeguarding the Right Dharma without deviation and ensuring that the Dharma lineage continues without interruption.
From an early time, Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master repeatedly made great vows before the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, aspiring to propagate the Dharma, benefit sentient beings, and save those with karmic affinity, just as the founding master had done. His vows became the causal foundation; the founding master’s entering nirvana became the karmic condition; and Dharma Voice guidance became the manifestation of the founding master’s vows. With causes and conditions coming together, today’s Dharma propagation and benefit to sentient beings have come to fruition.
Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master’s affinity is not limited to this lifetime. He has been protected by Guanyin Bodhisattva over many lifetimes and has had very few worldly attachments in this physical life. As the karmic conditions matured in this lifetime, he became the first-generation Dharma Voice transmitter of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door.
In accordance with the time and conditions, and upon the existing foundation of the Five Golden Buddhist Practices, he has led Buddhist practitioners of the Dharma Door to practise the Sixth Golden Buddhist Practice — reciting Buddha names and listening to Dharma Voice teachings — allowing the Dharma lineage to be passed on like a flame from one lamp to another, continuing without end.
In 2022, Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master formally began his Dharma propagation mission. From August of that year, he started transmitting the Dharma through voice teachings. Over the past three years, the Dharma Voice has flowed continuously without a single day of interruption. To date, more than one thousand Dharma Voice teachings have been delivered, and books such as Dharma Voice Teachings have been published successively.
In order to use the Buddha-dharma as a bridge to guide sentient beings to awaken to life and move towards liberation, Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master has followed the Dharma propagation footsteps of the founding master. Since 2023, he has held at least two Dharma Voice Dharma Conventions each year, allowing the Dharma Wheel to turn constantly and bringing great benefit to sentient beings.
In May 2023, he officially established the Mahayana Universe Light Dharma propagation website, systematically gathering the precious Dharma propagation resources of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door and releasing the latest teachings and Dharma propagation content in real time. The website provides an important platform for Buddhist practitioners of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door to learn, practise, and seek guidance in accordance with the Dharma.
The purity and authenticity of the Dharma Door are of long-term importance; therefore, its transmission must be orthodox, complete and without deviation. Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master not only teaches the Buddha-dharma, guiding sentient beings from delusion to awakening and helping them eliminate the causes of suffering, but also inherits the Dharma eye and spiritual abilities of the founding master.
According to the year of birth, zodiac sign and gender provided by practitioners, without being limited by time or space, he is able to observe the position, shape and colour of their totems, clearly understanding their past and present lives as well as the root causes of their suffering. Through these skillful means, he helps sentient beings with karmic affinity understand that karmic retribution is real and unfailing, thereby guiding them to develop right understanding, believe in Buddhism, recite Buddhist scriptures, cultivate the mind, practise Buddhism, and change their destiny.
In 2023, Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master officially opened weekly question-and-answer and totem phone sessions. Since then, regardless of wind or rain, these sessions have continued without interruption. Through his own actions, he carries forward the founding master’s great compassionate vow of “placing sentient beings above his head,” truly relieving suffering and enabling practitioners with karmic affinity to hear the Dharma, resolve their doubts, and joyfully practise according to the teachings.
From initially transmitting the Dharma on behalf of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, to today having become a greatly awakened one with realised spiritual attainment, Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master disciplines body and mind through strict observance of precepts and has swiftly attained awakening. With great vows, he practises diligently and courageously, widely guiding those with karmic affinity.
In speech and silence, movement and stillness, his realised understanding of the Buddha-dharma naturally reveals itself, enabling sentient beings with karmic affinity to quietly transform, regulate their own minds, gradually develop right understanding, and move towards the correct path of bodhi. Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master is humble and self-effacing, never seeking prominence. He only wishes to practise from the humblest place and give to the greatest extent. Some Buddhist practitioners have shared that his Dharma body often manifests in the form of a fellow practitioner to offer guidance; this precisely reflects the true state of his heart.
Regarding his aspiration for Dharma propagation, Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master’s sole wish is to continuously expound the Buddha-dharma, using the simplest plain language to explain its supreme truth, so that more sentient beings with karmic affinity may understand Buddhist principles and meanings, realise the truth of birth and death, and awaken to bodhi.
Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master often makes vows before the Three Buddhas to carry forward and greatly spread Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door, enabling more sentient beings with karmic affinity to hear of the Dharma Door and be free from suffering and attain happiness. He has vowed to dedicate this entire lifetime and physical body, and to resonate with the Greatly Compassionate Pu Guang Gong De Shan Buddha in guiding the disciples of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door to the other shore of liberation and the attainment of Buddhahood.
As the first-generation Dharma lineage successor of the Dharma Door, Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master will lead all disciples in establishing Guan Yin temples and Guan Yin Village, so as to settle the Sangha, establish Dharma places, and enable Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door to be propagated far into the future for the benefit of countless sentient beings.
In August 2025, the Sydney base, Universe Light Guan Yin Temple, was officially completed, bringing the fulfilment of Guan Yin temples and Guan Yin Village one step closer. The foundation of the Dharma Door is becoming increasingly stable.
Today, Lien Hua Tung Tzu Master practises with complete selflessness, without personal time or space of his own. All his actions place the wisdom-life of sentient beings first and the continuation of the Dharma lineage at heart. Fearless of hardship and obstacles, he guides Buddhist practitioners of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door to practise diligently with great courage and fearlessness, truly serving as a model of cultivation for disciples and practitioners.
