About the Association

Australian Mahayana Universe Light Buddhist Association Incorporated is a registered non-profit charitable organisation established in accordance with the Australian regulation. Upholding the Buddhist spirit of compassion, wisdom, and altruism, the Association has long been dedicated to sharing the Buddhist Dharma, fostering right faith, supporting charitable initiatives, and serving the broader community.

The Association is committed to promoting authentic Buddhist culture and spreading the excellence of traditional Chinese culture. Through Dharma talks, cultural exchange, charitable activities, and community services, it guides individuals to cultivate sound values and a wholesome outlook on life, foster harmony of body and mind, and thereby contribute to a more peaceful and cohesive society.

Concurrently, the Association actively launches public welfare projects including charitable relief, elder care, and assistance for vulnerable groups, Through these efforts, it embodies the Buddhist spirit of loving‑kindness, compassion, and service to all beings.

Looking ahead, the Association will continue to uphold its mission of “embracing compassion and benefiting all sentient beings. It will cultivate positive connections, promote the True Dharma, strengthen cultural exchange, and expand its charitable work, contributing to social harmony and the wellbeing of the wider community.

Our Purpose

The Australian Mahayana Universe Light Buddhist Association Incorporated upholds the kind and wise teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha, follows the benevolent spirit of Guan Yin Bodhisattva in relieving suffering and helping those in need, and continues the great vow of Great Compassion Pu Guang Gong De Shan Buddha (Venerable Jun Hong Lu, founder of the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door) to guide sentient beings toward liberation.

Under the guidance of the first lineage successor of the Dharma Door, Master Lien Hua Tung Tzu (Qiao Shuo), the Association promotes correct faith in Buddhist teachings, shares the excellence of traditional Chinese culture, uplifts hearts and minds, and contributes to social harmony and world peace.

Grounded in the foundation of the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door, the Association applies the wisdom and altruistic spirit of the Dharma to guide sentient beings. Through Master Lien Hua Tung Tzus realised spiritual insight and Totem Reading, karmic connections are revealed, helping individuals understand karma and the law of cause and effect. By utilizing expedient, skillful means, such as the Six Golden Buddhist Practices, the Association helps people put faith into action, abandon unwholesome behaviour, cultivate virtue, and deepen their understanding of Buddhist wisdom.

With loving-kindness as its foundation and skilful means as its method, the Association aspires to open the door of liberation for all sentient beings with karmic affinity. Moving forward with sincerity and dedication, it brings together positive conditions, serves as a bridge between monastic and lay communities, and extends warmth and support throughout the world. Upholding moral discipline, the Association safeguards the True Dharma and ensures that the Dharma Wheel turns in accordance with the Buddha’s teachings. Carrying forward the great vow of universal liberation, it seeks to illuminate countless hearts with the light of wisdom, preserve the Dharma lineage, and pass on the Right Path for generations to come.

Association Vision

May all sentient beings with karmic affinity hear the True Dharma, understand the law of cause and effect, and be freed from suffering to attain lasting happiness. May compassion and wisdom flourish throughout the world, bringing harmony to families and peace to society and the world. May more beings, through learning Buddhism and cultivating the mind, purify their hearts, plant wholesome causes, and walk together on the path toward awakening and liberation.
